Antique French Painted Pine Commode / Chest of Drawers, 19th Century

Antique French Painted Pine Commode / Chest of Drawers, 19th Century
Antique French Chest of Drawers
Of fairly large proportions with three equally sized deep drawers.
Constructed of pine in a provincial chunky manner with panelled sides and decorative carved uprights and moulded details.
Small porcelain handles in the form of stylised flowers.
With layers of paint, the top coat being a creamy white ground with sage green accents. The paintwork is probably not the original but is old and naturally worn over time to great effect. If I had to guess I would say it was painted in the early 20th century.
The chest of drawers probably dates from the mid to late 19th century.
In good vintage condition and it is solid and sturdy piece. There is cosmetic wear throughout which adds to its charm and aesthetic. There is also some old dead woodworm present which we have treated for good measure
Approximate measurements: 129cm wide x 69cm deep x 107cm high.
