Pair of Antique Oak and Velvet Bow Backed Tub Chairs, Early 20th Century

Pair of Antique Oak and Velvet Bow Backed Tub Chairs, Early 20th Century
Pair of Antique Chairs
Simple and stylish lines, bow-backed oak frames with curving uprights and small bulbous legs raised on their original metal castors.
Probably English or possibly French in origin, and would have originally been made as club armchairs.
The most wonderfully romantic worn and faded red velvet upholstery.
Probably dating from the late Edwardian period. Circa 1910 in date.
The chairs are in good vintage order, the frames are solid and sturdy, and the castors are in working order. There is wear commensurate with age throughout. The upholstery is faded in places and worn so they could be reuphoplstered but they are still usable as they are and we love their aesthetic as is.
Approximate measurements for each one: 58cm wide x 66cm deep x 63cm high. The seat height is roughly 32cm.
