Vintage Cloud-Backed Tub Armchair

A very comfortable and extremely pretty little chair that would work equally well as boudoir/bedroom chair or as cocktail chair in a living room.

Sumptuous embroidered dusky pink satin upholstery in the chinoiserie taste with luxurious feather-filled squab cushion and tasselled fringing.

Probably dating from the 1930s-1940s period.

Raised on wooden legs with castors possibly added later.

Overall the chair is in good vintage condition and still very usable. We believe the upholstery to be original so does show some signs of wear throughout. There is a small hole on the top edge of the back but this isn’t hugely noticeable or visible at all if placed against a wall..

The chair measures approximately 76cm high x 76cm wide x 80cm deep. The seat height is roughly 44cm.
