Antique Primitive Pine Bench
A decorative and charming bench of pegged construction in pine with a fret carved scolloped edge decoration and chamfered stick legs.
Originating from Hungary and probably dating from the mid 19th century period. Circa 1850s.
It is in good vintage condition. There is wear throughout commensurate with age which adds to its charm and tells its story. At some point the uprights that attach the back to the seat have been added to on the reverse to add strength and sure up the construction.
Approximate measurements: 201cm wide x 39cm deep x 85cm high. The seat height is roughly 50cm.
