Vintage Patchwork Quilt
Hand-stitched from scraps of different fabrics including cottons, silks and velvets. Plain polka dots stripes, florals, checks and paisley all arranged in a random order of different-sized squares, rectangles and circles.
Blue tassel braid fringe edging and a blue and white floral backing.
Probably dating from the mid-20th century period circa 1930s-1970s in date.
The quilt is largely in good vintage order, the stitching all seems good and there are no holes or tears to the fabric and no sections that are worn through. There is some wear commensurate with age. The backing panel has some fading to it.
Approximate measurements 233cm x 177cm. If using on a bed it could either fit a UK double or king-size.
