Vintage French Faience Spikey Glazed Studio Pottery Vase, Early to Mid 20th Century

Vintage French Faience Spikey Glazed Studio Pottery Vase, Early to Mid 20th Century
Vintage Ceramic Art Pottery Vase
An unusual and extremely decorative vase, of baluster form with yellow and green drip glaze adorned with spikes.
We cannot find another example similar enough to attribute it to anyone. There are some similarities with the antique Southern French provincial pottery olive jars, vinegar jugs etc. with similar glaze so presumably could originate from that region. There are also other similar studded pots originating from Morocco.
There is a glassy cobalt blue glaze on the base added, added purposefully almost in place of signing the piece.
Again we are unsure of exact age but it does have some age to it. If I had to guess I would say it dates from the early to mid 20th century period.
Overall the vase is in good vintage condition, there is wear throughout commensurate with age including some minor chips but with no serious structural issues.
Approximate measurements: 32cm high x 16cm diameter at widest point..
