Vintage Oversized Clothes Peg/Pin
A very sculptural piece that is playful with scale and is highly decorative in its own right.
Appears to be made from fibreglass and plaster and then hand painted in dusky pink to emulate the faded plastic of a clothes peg.
Probably dating from the mid to late 20th Century period circa 1960s-1980s.
Unsure of its exact history but they could have possibly originated from a shop display for a clothing retailer or possibly a laundry or similar.
It can be displayed either vertically or horizontally and when horizontal it technically could potentially be used as table or shelf but please bear in mind the top is slightly curved.
It is in good vintage condition with wear commensurate with age throughout including some areas of discolouration, scratches and dings etc. In some areas you can see the fibreglass underneath the top layer but it still feels solid.
Approximate measurements: 120cm wide x 35cm deep x 42cm high.
