Large Mid Century Majolica Dinosaur Sculpture
A rare and extremely decorative model depicting a Brontosaurus with curved head and tail, textured skin and hand painted details.
Made from white glazed pottery originating from Bassano del Grappa, in the Veneto region of Northern Italy.
Probably dating from the mid 20th century period, circa 1970s.
Hand painted mark on the base ‘Italy’ as well as the code ‘F95W’ which probably signifies the specific factory/artist.
It is in very good vintage condition with no serious issues, damage or repair and only minor wear commensurate with age including some minor flea bits to the glaze.
Approximate measurements: 52cm wide x 20cm deep x 24cm high.
