Antique Mint Green Painted Pine Pigeon Hole Shelving Unit, 19th Century

Antique Mint Green Painted Pine Pigeon Hole Shelving Unit, 19th Century
Antique Wooden Pigeon Holes/Shelves/Storage
Constructed from pine with a decorative moulded cornice above thirty individual cubby holes that would have originally been for sorting post or similar items, but work well today for storage in a kitchen or as a display for a collection.
Old mint green paint, which has naturally worn over time from use to reveal the original brown scumbled finish underneath.
Probably dating from the mid-19th century period.
The unit is in good vintage condition, it is solid, sturdy and does its job well. There is some cosmetic wear from its use over the years, which we think adds to its charm and tells its story. There is some old, dead woodworm present, which has been treated for good measure.
Approximate measurements: 115cm wide x 31cm deep x 135cm high.
Each cubby hole measures approximately 23cm high x 15cm wide x 22cm deep (the top row of holes extends up to around 33cm high behind the cornice).
