Antique Glazed Ceramic Cat Figures
Taking the form of a pair of cats with glass eyes in a slightly skew-whiff primitive style with bags of character.
Tin-glazed earthenware pottery with hand-painted enamelled floral decoration.
A true pair that face each other when wall-mounted and appear to be climbing up the wall.
Likely made in the Desvres region of Northern France.
Circa 1900-1910 in date.
Can be wall mounted on their own or also hold floral displays in their recessed vase sections, but also look great displayed lying down on a mantle piece or side table.
They are in excellent vintage condition with no significant damage, no cracks, chips or restoration, and only handling wear commensurate with age.
Each one measures 33cm long x 11cm deep x 13cm wide.
