Early 20th Century Taxidermy Fish Skull in Case
An annotated example of a cod’s skull which must have been used for educational/research purposes. On one side there are the remains of labels which have been typed out of a typewriter. He has a spooky face with a ragged toothed grin.
The case is a lovely example with simple leaded glass box sitting on an oak base.
The skull itself is in good vintage condition, it has been knocked here and there over the years but seems pretty much intact. there is a metal bar supporting the jaw. The case is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the glass and only minor wear on the base. Please see photos.
