Vintage Sculpture

A kind of squashed yet contented to be so bowling ball-sized head with great character and features.

Although unsigned it is skillfully carved and polished by a master artist, bringing life to this lump of rock.

Made from an equally characterful piece of greenish grey veined soapstone.

Originating from Southern Africa and more than likely carved by the Shona people of Zimbabwe.

It is in largely good vintage condition with no major condition issues but there is some wear on the extremities and some surface scratches etc.

Measuring 24cm wide x 11cm deep x 20cm high.
