We think it would have originally been the top section of an enormous two-part mirror that would have sit in a large public building or a commercial setting.
Gilt frame with grey painted section.
There is some wear to the frame as can be seen in photographs. There is no damage to the glass but there is some minor foxing in some areas of the mirror plate and it is slightly sparkly.
Measuring: 153cm high x 151cm wide.
