A good quality Victorian writing table/desk which has been used in an artist’s studio for many years, with a natural build-up of layers of paint.
With two usable drawers and turned legs raised on its original brass and ceramic castors.
The table is structurally sound and still very usable. There is wear throughout consistent with its studio use. It has lived a life, and this wear makes it what it is and tells its story. Most areas are covered in paint, and there are some battered areas, etc. The drawer handles are later replacements, and there are some honest repairs.
Approximate measurements: 123cm wide x 56cm deep x 83cm high. The desk top is approximately 77cm high, and the height from the floor to the underside of the drawers is 61.5cm.
