Glass Fronted Edwardian Apothecary Cabinet

Glass Fronted Edwardian Apothecary Cabinet

£0.00

Antique Display Cabinet from Reade Bros. & Co. Wolverhampton

Reade Brothers were manufacturing chemists of powders, pills, creams and medicines, founded in 1773 they are still going today as a speciality chemical resource.

Dating from the early 20th century this is a charming counter top apothecary cabinet which would have originally displayed all sorts of potions but could now be a cabinet of curiosities or hold a more specific collection.

It is in great vintage condition. the old glass is free from damage and it is structurally sound. I feel like originally it would have been painted but at some point over it’s life the wood has been stripped and oiled which looks lovely. The only thing i would point out is on one of the underside back corners there is a bit of old woodworm which has been treated. Please see photos.

Measuring: 60cm wide X 27cm deep X 88cm high.
