Antique Victorian Watercolour Painting by John William Kettlewell

A charming scene depicting a clutch of small blue eggs in a bird’s nest, possibly blackbirds or of the song thrush, alongside soft fruits including plums and strawberries in front of white trumpet-shaped flowers of bindweed.

Signed to the lower left ‘J.W. Kettlewell’ and dated 1887.

The circular painting is mounted into a gilt mount and framed and glazed in its original gilt frame.

The painting and frame are in good vintage condition with some minor wear commensurate with age.

Overall measurements: 49cm x 42cm x 2cm. The painting itself is 26cm in diameter.
