Antique Enamel Butchers Shop Sign 'Lamb a Delicacy', Early 20th Century

£0.00

Antique Enamel Sign

‘Lamb a Delicacy’ spelt out in a scrolling white italic typeface on a green background. A hugely decorative sign that would work really well on a kitchen or restaurant wall.

It would have originally formed part of a series of signs hung in a butchers shop.

Dating from the early 20th century period. Circa 1900-1920s in date.

Signed to the lower right ‘Chromo Wolverhampton’ for The Chromographic Enamel Company Limited, which was founded in 1886 in Wolverhampton, England.

The sign has naturally worn over time, There are areas of oxidisation and some areas that have worn away throughout that we think adds to its decorative appeal and tells its story.

Approximate measurements: 183cm wide x 26cm high x 1cm deep.

Delivery is £60 to the majority of the mainland UK, for those in remote areas of the UK or for international enquiries please ask for a tailored quote.
