Antique Gilt Gesso Wall Mirror

Simple yet beautiful stylised repeated acanthus leaf detail on the frame.

Original mercury mirror plate with plenty of sparkle, some pitting and wear but still a very usable mirror.

Condition wise it is worn in places, there are some losses to the plasterwork as can be seen in the photos. the gilding has dulled down naturally with time which is part of the reason we fell for it.

Measuring 79cmhigh x 55cm wide x 9cm deep.
