Large Salt Glazed Stoneware Cheese Dome, c. 1830s

Large Salt Glazed Stoneware Cheese Dome, c. 1830s

£0.00

Antique Lidded Ceramic Drabware Stilton/Cheese Dish

A big old cheese dome dating from the William IV/Early Victorian period.

An unusual example of this design as they normally come in one colour, white, cream or brown. This example is decorated with the blue and white glaze emulating Wedgwood’s Jasperware.

It is in very good vintage condition with some wear to the glaze commensurate with age. The only thing I would point out is a star crack to the base as seen in the last photograph

Measuring 31cm high x 32cm diameter..
