A wonderful example with notch carved exterior, velvet panels and brass embellishments including lions heads, escutcheons, buttons and other pieces of hardware.
There may be a military connection as one of the buttons on the top appears to be naval as it has an anchor and the reverse is dated ‘1914’ in brass numbers, the year WWI broke out.
It is in excellent vintage condition, there is some minor wear and tear hear and there as you would expect but overall it is in great order.
Measuring 27cm wide x 15cm deep x 17cm high.
