This would have originally been part of a nomadic tent, each time the tribe set up in a new location these panels would have been sewn together to form a larger panel.
Today this would work equally well in a doorway as well as behind a bed for a decorative headboard.
Originally bought by the current owner in Algeria directly from a tribal community.
Thick, heavyweight wool with reds yellows, grey/blues and white in a geometric design.
Tassels and glass beads throughout.
It is in great vintage condition. There are no real holes or worn out sections to speak of. It is a tad faded from use over time but we think this adds to its charm.
Measuring: 220cm high x 130cm wide.
