Real horns set in leather holsters, the hat itself is made from some kind of woven grass like jute. This is covered in shells and the and red strips of material.
Hugely decorative and a fun talking point.
Dating from somewhere in the 20th century.
Possibly from the Konkomba people of Ghana or the Igala of Nigeria.
It is in good vintage condition, it is all present and correct, there is wear and tear as you can see from photos.
Measuring: 46cm high x 40cm wide x 23cm deep.
