Antique Cased Taxidermy Crustaceans
A really unusual display dating from the 19th century that is reminiscent of a rock pool. There are countless crabs hiding in amongst different coral samples. It is quite difficult to count them as you keep finding more, this must have been a real labour of love for someone.
It is all housed in a wonderfully complimentary textured case with original glass which can be wall mounted or placed on a shelf. It is in great vintage condition, the only thing I would point out is that one of the side pieces of glass is cracked at the top but this doesn’t detract too much to it’s overall look.
