Victorian Bristol Butcher's Brass Snuff Box

Victorian Bristol Butcher's Brass Snuff Box

£0.00

Antique 19th Century Engraved Metalwork Snuff Box

I don’t think you could get anything more charming if you tried. Bought from a descendent of Peter Gay who apparently was a butcher from Warmley, Bristol and dated 1887. The same year that Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show opened in London and construction of the Eiffel Tower commenced.

It is in great vintage condition with the perfect amount of patina for us but could be polished up if so desired. It really is a very tactile little piece. The handmade hinge works as it should and the top closes tightly.

Measuring: 7cm long X 4.5cm wide X 2cm high.
