Vintage Advertising for ‘The regular Impregnated Safety Match, Joseph Franses & Co Ltd., London’.

A very large oversized maxbox and its contents, originally made as a shop advertising piece.

Unusually, this example is full of its original contents of the oversized matches.

A scale replica of the usual small-sized box, using all the same materials, cardboard with paper labels and striking strips on each side. The matches are also scaled up using the same wood and tips.

Overall, it is excellent vintage condition with only minor wear commensurate with age. It is probably the best example I have found.

The box measures approximately 31cm wide x 19.5cm high x 6.5cm deep.
