Antique Tramp Art Table Cabinet, Buffet Deux Corps, Late 19th Century
Antique Folk Art Wooden Cabinet
A wonderfully decorative, charming and unique example of tramp art in the form of a miniature French ‘Buffet Deux Corps’ cabinet.
With typical profusely notch or chip carved exterior and slightly exaggerated bulbous geometric forms.
Featuring a moustache pediment, original glass handles and functioning door and drawers, which open and close and can be used for storage, The cupboard sections and drawers retain their original paper lining.
Dating from the late 19th Century period, circa 1880-1900.
It is in remarkably good vintage condition, there is some minor wear and very minor losses commensurate with age but no serious issues. There is some old, dead woodworm present, mainly on the base, which we have treated for good measure.
Approximate measurements: 55cm high x 35cm wide x 15cm deep.
