Antique Chinese Handmade Textile Shoes
In the form of stylised animals with faces on the front, probably made for Chinese New Year and representing the symbol from that year, quite possibly little tigers.
They are made from pink embroidered silk with some stumpwork elements, with plenty of character, comical and childlike features of big grins and angry eyebrows.
They are in a worn condition with wear commensurate with age and use. Please see the photographs.
Each one approximately measures: 10.5cm long x 6cm wide x 3cm high.
