A sensitive and skilled representation of a marble sculpture excellently representing the light and shadow using monochrome tones.

Blind stamped ‘E.S.K.’ for The Examined School of South Kensington, the precursor to the Royal College of Art which was situated in what is now the V&A. This is a sign of quality.

Initialled to the lower right ‘S.C.’

Framed and glazed In a later, yet complimentary dimple white frame and mount.

The drawing itself is in excellent vintage condition as is the frame with only very minor wear and tear.

Overall measurements: 66cm x 57cm.
