Antique Original Oil Painting

Depicting two young girls, probably sisters with rosy cheeks in matching blue dresses holding flowers in an interior setting in front of a regency/William IV armchair.

Painted in a provincial and primitive naive style.

Dating to the mid 19th century period. Circa 1830s-1860s in date.

In its original gilt gesso frame.

The painting itself is largely in good vintage condition with wear commensurate with age. There a a few historic repairs to the canvas which can be seen verso. These are all in fairly unimportant areas to the composition and avoid the faces of the sitters. There is a light craquelure to the surface of the painting. The frame has some wear, minor losses and touch ups etc. but overall displays well.

Approximate overall measurements: 92cm x 79cm x 4cm. The canvas itself measures approximately 77cm x 65cm.
