Antique Original Victorian Folk Art Painting

Depicting a rural farmyard scene with a pretty farmhouse, with the fire on and smoke c coming from the chimney. Outside there is a thatched barn and a charming figure standing in front of the house with a cockerel and chickens in the yard.

Signed ‘W. J. Colver’ and dated ‘75’ for 1875.

In its original simple wooden and naively made wooden frame.

There is some minor wear to the painting commensurate with age but nothing too serious.

Overall measurements: 45cm x 35cm.
